Sens. Rubio, Kennedy Introduce NFIP Extension Act

WASHINGTON, July 15 -- Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, issued the following news release:

Florida is home to 1.7 million National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) policies, more than any other state. Without action, the program will expire on September 30, 2022.

Between storms and flooding, I can't express enough how important extending the NFIP is for my state, especially now that we're in the middle of hurricane season." - U.S. Senator John Kennedy (R-LA)

The NFIP Extension Act would extend NFIP authorization for one year, until September 30, 2023.
