Sen. Wyden Issues Statement on CBO Report on Health Care Premiums

WASHINGTON, May 23 -- Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Oregon, ranking Democratic member of the Senate Finance Committee, issued the following statement on the release of a report by the Congressional Budget Office confirming the so-called Trump-GOP sabotage of the health insurance market on health care premiums for American families:
"The numbers on junk insurance are in, and they show the Trump administration is raising premiums and making health care unaffordable for Americans and their families.
"A health agenda built on sabotaging private markets and peddling junk insurance might score cheap political points, but it hurts people who need care and can't afford it.
"Bottom line, the Trump administration is putting the country through a forced march back to the days when health care worked only for the health and the wealthy."
