Sen. Rubio Introduces Bill to Prescribe Chargeable Premium Rates for Flood Insurance

WASHINGTON, Sept. 30 -- Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., has introduced legislation (S. 2869) to "temporarily limit the authority of the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to prescribe chargeable premium rates for flood insurance under the National Flood Insurance Program."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 28 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Bill Cassidy, R-La., Cindy Hyde-Smith, R-Miss., and John Cornyn, R-Texas. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
