Security First Insurance Ranks on State’s “Best Companies” List

PR Newswire

ORMOND BEACH, Fla., Aug. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Security First Insurance Company is one of Florida's Best Companies To Work For according to Florida Trend Magazine. This is the third consecutive year the company has been awarded this designation.

Each year the magazine polls employees of Florida-based companies via an anonymous survey. From those results the 100 companies with the highest overall results are ranked in categories according to size of the employee population.

"Our team is truly honored to have our company culture recognized. The survey polls employees on their perceptions and engagement with our culture, philosophy, workplace policies, practices, and systems. It's always rewarding when our aspirations for our culture meet the expectations and experiences of our family of employees," stated Werner Kruck, Chief Operating Officer.

Security First Insurance is a fast growing, family-owned homeowner's insurance company based in Ormond Beach, Fla. The company provides home, condo, and renters' insurance policies to more than 300,000 customers and is the second largest provider in the state.

With more than 250 employees today, the company is projected to double in size within the next five years. This fall, Security First Insurance will break ground on a 133,000-square-foot corporate office building in Ormond Beach. The new headquarters will feature a fitness center, yoga studio, walking trail, collaborative workspaces, and a large café. Completion of the facility is slated for early 2019.

The company has steadily invested in research and development since it was formed in 2005, and is recognized for developing award-winning technology that has transformed the home insurance buying experience for its customers. Security First Insurance has a network of technology and data partners located in U.S. tech capitals ranging from Raleigh, N.C. to Silicon Valley. Employees not only benefit from competitive salaries and an exceptional workplace environment, they often collaborate with strategic partners to transform the industry and maintain market leadership. About Security First Insurance
Security First Insurance is built on nearly 100 years of history and experience in the insurance industry. The company has an acute understanding of Floridians' vulnerability to natural catastrophe. Company founder, Locke Burt, was serving in the Florida Senate in 1992 when Hurricane Andrew made landfall. It was one of the worst natural disasters in U.S. history, leaving behind more than $26 billion in insured losses and a crippled insurance industry. Locke wanted better for the state and its residents and created Security First Insurance. The company now serves policyholders living across the state, storm after storm, year after year®.

Security First Insurance has been assigned a Financial Stability Rating® (FSR) of A, Exceptional, from Demotech, Inc. and is strongly committed to improving Florida's homeowners insurance market and initiatives that support and protect residents and communities of the Sunshine State.
