VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Sandstorm Gold Ltd. (SAND) on Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $6.5 million.
The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had profit of 3 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 4 cents per share.
The provider of financing for gold mining companies posted revenue of $14.2 million in the period.
Sandstorm Gold shares have risen almost 2% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $7.58, a climb of 23% in the last 12 months.
