AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 11 -- Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas, issued the following statement in support of a discharge petition for the repeal of Obamacare:
"Republicans sent this bill to President Obama's desk back in 2016 where it was inevitably denied.
"Now that President Trump is in office, I see no reason to delay this bill any longer. With a simple majority in the House, the discharge petition would remove this bill from committee and force a floor vote in September.
"We promised Americans a "clean" Obamacare repeal and that is exactly what we're going to deliver."
