Rep. Holding Introduces Bill on Exemption for Interests Held by Foreign Insurance Companies

WASHINGTON, Dec. 21 -- Rep. George Holding, R-N.C., has introduced legislation (H.R. 7373) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to provide an exemption from FIRPTA for interests held by certain foreign insurance companies."
The bill was introduced on Dec. 20. It was referred to the House Ways and Means Committee.
