U.S. Representative Bill Flores (R-Texas) issued the following statement regarding House passage of a budget resolution, which allows Congress a process to begin repealing and replacing Obamacare:
"Obamacare is collapsing and failing the hardworking Americans it was supposed to protect.
"Under Obamacare, premiums have skyrocketed, co-ops have collapsed and insurers have been abandoning the marketplace, as it has become a sinking ship. This vote is an important first step in keeping the promise to provide relief for all those who have been suffering from the crushing burdens of this disastrous law.
"It puts in place the necessary tools to begin the repeal and replace process. Now we can begin working to deliver a much needed 21st century health care system that offers high-quality, affordable care to all hardworking Americans."
