Rep. Castor Introduces Bill on Private Flood Insurance

WASHINGTON, July 29 -- Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Fla., has introduced legislation (H.R. 4699) to amend the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 "to allow for the consideration of private flood insurance for the purposes of applying continuous coverage requirements."
The bill was introduced on July 27 and was co-sponsored by Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer, R-Mo. It was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
