Rep. Bera Introduces Bill to Enroll Individuals in Health Insurance Coverage

WASHINGTON, April 4 -- Rep. Ami Bera, D-Calif., has introduced legislation (H.R. 2061) to "facilitate the efforts of States to establish auto-enrollment systems to enroll certain individuals in health insurance coverage."
The bill was introduced on April 3 and was co-sponsored by Reps. Salud O. Carbajal, D-Calif., Kathleen Rice, D-N.Y., Gil Cisneros, D-Calif., Susan Wild, D-Pa., and Kurt Schrader, D-Ore. It was jointly referred to the House Energy and Commerce and Ways and Means committees.
