Alabama city councilman indicted on 4 more insurance fraud charges

MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A Prichard City Councilman has been indicted on four insurance fraud charges, according to the Mobile County District Attorney's Office.
Derrick Nathaniel Griffin, 43, has now been indicted on a total of six insurance fraud charges by the DA's office since December.
His charges stem from misrepresentations on insurance policies for four vehicles he didn't own, according to the indictment: a 2011 Nissan Frontier, a 2013 BMW 328, a 2005 Ford Econoline and a 2014 Acura.
His bail was fixed in open court at $20,000, according to the indictment.
