Red Bluff Daily News (CA)

The following information is compiled from Red Bluff Police Department, Red Bluff Fire, Tehama County Sheriff’s Department, Corning Police Department, Corning Fire, Cal Fire and California Highway Patrol logs.

Animals

Mary Avenue: A woman reported two dogs killed her chickens in the coop around 5:50 a.m. Tuesday.

Arrests

Nelson Hernandez Anariba: 22, of Corning was arrested Tuesday and charged with corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant. Bail was $50,000.

Alisia Crecencia Meza: 38, of Los Molinos was arrested Tuesday and charged with insurance fraud. No bail was set.

Mason Gage Mierish:23, of Los Molinos was arrested Tuesday and charged with buying or receiving a stolen vehicle and failure to obey a peace officer. No bail was set.

Juan Ramon Perez: 50, of Red Bluff was arrested Tuesday and charged with parole violation and possession. Bail was $15,000.

Disturbances

Loleta Avenue: A woman reported a man battered her and left with two of her children around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Houghton Avenue: A woman reported her boyfriend struck one of her children around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday.

Riverside Way: A man in a wheelchair wearing a red shirt and gray shorts was yelling and cursing outside Cornerstone Community Bank around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday.

Sandy Way: Two men were fighting around 6 p.m. Tuesday and an arrest was made.

Suspicious

Luther Road: Walmart found a credit card skimmer on one of its registers around noon Tuesday.

Luning Avenue: A neighbor was yelling threats around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday.

Corning Road near Paskenta Road: A woman walking in the Thomes Creek bed around 4 p.m. Tuesday found a man who became agitated because he was funneling water from the creek to a nearby cannabis grow.

SR 99E: A man reported a downed power line after his son chopped it down around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Thefts

Everette Freeman Way: A woman reported finding her stolen Dodge truck at Rolling Hills Casino around 2:50 a.m. Tuesday.

I-5 near Adobe Road: A police officer was following a stolen silver Toyota Corolla around 4 a.m. Tuesday.

Barham Avenue: A man in black pants with white paint stains, black shirt, white hat and flip flops was trying to steal tools from a semi trailer around 4:50 a.m. Tuesday. When confronted, he put the tools down and left on foot.

South Main Street: A woman reported her phone was stolen by an employee at Tractor Supply around 9:10 a.m. Tuesday. She got the phone back but the case and SIM card were missing and the incident was captured on video.

Washington Street: A woman reported a black suitcase was stolen out of her car around 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Regal Court: A woman reported theft of funds from her EBT card around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Riverside Way: Stolen construction equipment was found at River Park around 12:10 p.m. Tuesday and returned to the owner.

Paskenta Road: A black 2008 BMW 750I with a dent near the trunk and paint damage all over was reported stolen around 12:40 p.m. Tuesday.

Cessna Avenue: A man reported his phone was stolen and he was threatened with violence around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

James Avenue: A key fob and a man’s work documents were reported stolen overnight from a vehicle around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Second Street: A man at Bell Carter Packing Co. reported around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday a woman in a pink tank top and shorts was riding his motorized bicycle stolen Monday. The bike has yellow handlebars, silver frame and a broken rack on the back.
