New Hampshire Man Claims $1.825M Tri-State Megabucks Jackpot

Telegraph (Nashua, NH)
CONCORD, N.H. – Barrington resident Richard Baker has claimed the $1.825 million Tri-State Megabucks jackpot prize that he won on December 8, 2021. Baker purchased the winning ticket at Circle K in Northwood and opted to take the one-time cash payout of $1.32 million (before taxes) instead of taking graduated annuity payments over 30 years. Circle K will receive $18,250 for selling the winning ticket.

"We are thrilled to meet our latest New Hampshire Megabucks jackpot winner," said Charlie McIntyre, Executive Director, New Hampshire Lottery. "What a tremendous way to cap off 2021 with a $1.825 million win! Tri-State Megabucks has been a flagship game for players in New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont for the past 40 years, and awarding a lucky New Hampshire player is something that never gets old!"

The winning numbers from the drawing on Wednesday, December 8, were: 3-9-11-21-33 MB-5.

This is the first New Hampshire Tri-State Megabucks jackpot winner since June 2019, when a lucky player purchased a $2.4 million winning ticket at the Hannaford Supermarket on John Devine Drive in Manchester. The $2.4 million prize was claimed by the Houdini Nominee Trust of 2019, Portsmouth, NH.

The next Tri-State Megabucks drawing is set for Wednesday, December 22, with a $1.075 million jackpot. Tri-State Megabucks has been on sale since 1985, with tickets sold in Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. Drawings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Other Tri-State games include Tri-State Gimme 5, Tri-State Pick3®/Pick4® Daily Numbers games, and Fast Play games.
