New Governors Get a Dose of Disaster Preparedness

Nov. 28--Disasters are a growth business. They are now in the news on a regular basis, even more than mass shootings. So when it came time to brief new incoming governors on what their duties will include, disasters was one of the higher-priority topics this year, see Natural disasters will be a priority for incoming governors.

The article covers the gamut of what we are seeing from the sensational level, but drought, heat, and lack of clean, fresh water for arid areas of the nation are also issues that will lead to disaster.

Then there is this article, Trump on climate change: 'People like myself, we have very high levels of intelligence but we're not necessarily such believers.' For anyone keeping score, my IQ is 118, so I'm just not smart enough to deny climate change. That is my story, and I'm sticking to it!
