MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) _ National HealthCare Corp. (NHC) on Friday reported fourth-quarter profit of $27.6 million.
The Murfreesboro, Tennessee-based company said it had net income of $1.79 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 90 cents per share.
The nursing home and assisted living company posted revenue of $259.8 million in the period.
For the year, the company reported profit of $41.9 million, or $2.72 per share. Revenue was reported as $1.03 billion.
National HealthCare shares have declined slightly more than 2% since the beginning of the year. The stock has fallen 22% in the last 12 months.
