Michael Yon Named President of Hylant Nashville Office

TOLEDO, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Hylant, one of the nation's largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms, has promoted Michael Yon to the role of president of its Nashville, TN office. Hylant President and Chief Financial Officer Bill Pridgeon made the announcement today.

In his new role, Yon will be responsible for developing the strategic vision and driving the continued growth and profitability of the Nashville office. “Michael’s experience, expertise and knowledge of the insurance industry, whether it be with product liability, professional liability, or large self-insured programs, have prepared him well to lead the office in this new position,” said Pridgeon.

Joining Hylant in 2002, Yon has designed and managed many diverse property and casualty insurance programs, including specialized solutions for pharmaceutical, medical device and clinical research affiliated companies. He has worked with large integrated health care organizations, fraternal associations, as well as both publicly and privately owned companies. Yon was instrumental in the development of Hylant’s Life Science Practice and most recently served as sales leader in the Hylant Cincinnati office.

In addition to his work at Hylant, Yon is a frequent presenter at industry association meetings on insurance and risk management specific to the life science and health care industries. He is a member of BIO, American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, Association of Clinical Research Professionals, Drug Information Association and the Society for Clinical Research Sites.

Yon earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and environmental science from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
