Michael Cohen: Trump’s Not On Drugs, He’s Just ‘Messed Up’

Former Trump fixer Michael Cohen took his “Disloyal” book tour to Los Angeles Friday for a sit-down with HBO “Real Time” host and marijuana enthusiast Bill Maher.

The pair discussed lies, scandals, kinky sex shows and drugs -- the last of which Cohen insisted are not a part of his former boss' routine. Acknowledging the president sniffs a lot due to sinus issues and has odd physical quirks, Cohen said Trump doesn’t drink and that “He’s not a smoker, he’s not a drug addict, he’s just messed up.”

Among the president’s baseless claims about his opponent Joe Biden is that the Democratic nominee is on performance-enhancing drugs that help him deliver effective speeches. During a recent performance on Fox News, Trump told surrogate and show host Judge Jeanine Pirro that both candidates should take drug tests before their Sept. 29 debate. Biden called Trump a “fool” in response.

During his interview with Maher, Trump twice did impersonations of Trump; one of which portrayed the president reviewing a sex show in Las Vegas the pair had attended. The second impression was of how Trump would review the show Cohen and Maher recorded Friday.

Cohen also claimed he’d still be a Trump loyalist had he not been extracted from the president’s inner-circle by law enforcement officials, who charged him with election interference. The 54-year-old year old former lawyer said Trump, disloyal, gave him up as a sacrificial lamb.

“I was deep into that cult, really deep,” he said of the decade he spent wheeling and dealing for Trump. “I didn’t leave because I wanted to.”

Maher used the end of the segment to blast the president for a Wednesday press conference where Trump dismissively said the pandemic doesn’t look so bad if you don’t consider the deaths of people who live in Blue States, which make up most of the nation’s population.

“California gave you 4 million votes last time, Mr. President,” Maher said through the camera. “That’s more than Mississippi, Utah, Kansas, Nebraska, West Virginia, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Alaska , you combine all those votes, (it’s) not as many as the people in California who voted for you.”

Democrat Hillary Clinton beat Trump in California in 2016 and won the general popular vote by nearly 3 million votes, but the Electoral College gave the presidency to Trump.

Shortly after his chat with Cohen, Maher announced to his shocked audience that Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburgh had died at 87. That puts Trump in position to appoint a third justice to the Supreme Court.
