MeridianHealth Achieves NCQA Commendable Accreditation Status for High-Quality Performance

DETROIT, March 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Meridian Health Plan, Inc. of Illinois (MeridianHealth) has received an Accreditation Status of Commendable from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). To date, MeridianHealth is the only Medicaid Managed Care Organization in Illinois to receive an NCQA Accreditation Status of Commendable in 2017.

This status was awarded to MeridianHealth for service and clinical quality that meet NCQA's rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement. NCQA Health Plan Accreditation is a nationally recognized evaluation that purchasers, regulators and consumers can use to assess health plans.

In addition to a Commendable Accreditation Status, Meridian Health Plan of Illinois, Inc. was rated among the top Medicaid plans in Illinois in according to NCQA's Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2016-2017.
