McGuireWoods Partner Hampton to Join JPMorgan Chase

RICHMOND, Virginia, Aug. 24 -- McGuireWoods, a law firm, issued the following news release:
Houston partner Charles Hampton will join JPMorgan Chase in early September as vice president and assistant general counsel in the wholesale litigation group. His last day with McGuireWoods is Aug. 31, 2022.
In his new role, Hampton will represent the bank in litigation matters primarily involving corporate and investment banking businesses.
As a member of McGuireWoods'Business & Securities Litigation Department since 2016, Hampton represented clients in complex commercial disputes as well as in insurance coverage, product liability and employment matters. He also handled energy-related litigation throughout the United States.
"My association with McGuireWoods has been an enormous personal honor for me, and I am going to miss the daily camaraderie of working with colleagues at the firm," he said. "The experience, professionalism and collegiality at all levels of the firm are unique and second to none."
Charlottesville partner Jonathan Blank, chair of the Business & Securities Litigation Department, said, "For the past six years, Charles has been a valued member of our department. We will miss his great work and dedication, and look forward to working with him in his new role at JPMorgan Chase."
