SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Sept. 18 -- Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance, a life insurance company, issued the following news release:
The Board of Trustees for the MassMutual Premier Funds has approved a plan to close and liquidate all share classes of the MassMutual Premier Value Fund on or about March 23, 2018.
On September 18, 2017, a supplement to the Fund's prospectus (dated February 1, 2017) and summary prospectus (dated February 1, 2017) pertaining to the Fund closure was filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). MassMutual will communicate directly with clients who are currently invested in the Fund about possible courses of action they may wish to take either prior to or when the Fund closes. The MassMutual Premier Funds are available to retirement investors mainly through MassMutual-administered retirement plans.
