SBLI (The Savings Bank Mutual Life Insurance Company of Massachusetts) announces that Martin F. Connors, Jr., President and CEO of Rollstone Bank & Trust, was recently elected Chairperson of the company’s Board of Directors at its annual meeting.

A member of the SBLI board since 2006, Connors succeeds Greta Cusworth as Chairperson. He joined Fitchburg, Massachusetts-based Rollstone Bank & Trust in 2004 as President. Prior to joining RBT, he was a partner in a CPA firm and also held the position of CFO at Safety Fund National Bank. Connors is very active in the community, and has served as the Board Chair for Fitchburg State University, the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce, and the United Way Campaign. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and a masters in taxation from Bentley University, and graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin’s Graduate School of Banking.
