Markel Promotes Dillon to Underwriting Assurance Director, Product Line Leadership

RICHMOND, Va., Feb. 20 -- Markel, a financial holding company, issued the following news release:
Markel Corporation announced today that Ashley Dillon has been named Underwriting Assurance Director on the Product Line Leadership team. In her new role, Dillon will focus on enhancing, streamlining, and monitoring the underwriting practices in the US, Bermuda, and, on a collaborative basis, Markel's London-based insurance operations.
"Ashley has more than 13 years of experience and has been a highly visible and effective member of Markel's Internal Audit team since 2007. She will help us identify best practices and improve our underwriting, pricing, and peer review processes. I am certain that Ashley's work will be of great value to our Product Line Leadership team in 2017 and beyond," commented Robin Russo, Chief Underwriting Officer.
Dillon is located in Markel's headquarters in Richmond, Virginia, and reports to Russo.
