May 15--The following items were taken from Libertyville, Mundelein and Vernon Hills police reports and releases. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.
Libertyville
DUI
Jose Serafin Ordaz, 34, of the 700 block of Court of Spruce in Vernon Hills, was arrested May 6 for driving under the influence and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after police were called to a possible vehicle crash. After they arrived, officers observed multiple signs of impairment from the subject, who failed a series of sobriety tests. Serafin Ordaz was released after posting his driver's license and signing a $1,000 personal recognizance bond. He has a pending court date at 9 a.m. on June 5 in Waukegan, police said.
Vernon Hills
DUI
Steve Rudolfi, 60, of the 0-100 block of Fernwood Court, was arrested May 3 for driving under the influence after the subject was involved in a traffic crash. At this time, bond and court information are unavailable, police said.
Edgar Morales, 24, of the 200 block of Longwood Terrace in Mundelein, was arrested May 5 for driving under the influence, failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash, improper transportation of cannabis inside the vehicle, and no insurance. The subject had a $100 cash bond and posted his driver's license. He has a court date on June 17 in Waukegan, police said.
There are no arrests to report from Mundelein this week.
