Larry Jesus Rodgers, 27, Fort Madison, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Thursday and charged with driving while under suspension and failing to provide proof of liability insurance in connection with an accident. He was also served a warrant charging him with contempt of court for failing to appear at proceedings. He was taken to the Lee County Jail.

Sheriff authorities report of an accident in the 2200 block of Highway 61 at 5:02 p.m. Thursday involving a motorcycle, driven by Larry Jesus Rodgers, 27, Fort Madison. According to the accident report, Rodgers was traversing a curve in the 2200 block of Highway 61 southbound. Rodgers said he was going too fast and didn't make the curve. This caused him to enter the median. The motorcycle sustained disabling damage. Rodgers had his arm cleaned and wrapped at the scene by Lee County EMS, but refused further medical treatment.
