Kitchen stove stolen from home; other police reports

Jan. 03--Sherman Police

Burglary -- A resident on Jan. 1 in the 2400 block of Texoma Parkway reported his house was broken into. The owner reported a kitchen stove was stolen out of the home. A report for burglary of a habitation was completed and the investigation is ongoing.

Accident -- An officer was dispatched on Dec. 31 to a hit and run accident in the 900 block of South Throckmorton Street. The investigation revealed a male traveling on the street struck the victim's vehicle and fled the scene. A report for accident involving damage to a vehicle under $200 was generated.

Driving while license invalid -- Sherman Police stopped a vehicle on Dec. 31 for unconfirmed insurance at the intersection of East Brockett and North Grand Avenue. The driver showed to have previous convictions of driving while license invalid. She was arrested and taken to Grayson County Jail.

Theft -- An officer was dispatched on Dec. 31 to the 400 block of East U.S. Highway 82 in reference to a theft. The reporting party stated two unknown males stole a bluetooth speaker valued at less that $100. A report for theft of property under $100 was completed.

Burglary -- Sherman dispatch received a call on Dec. 31 in reference to the burglary of a habitation at the 1300 block of East Tuck Street. An adult female entered the residence and removed cash. An officer completed a report for burglary of a habitation.

Driving while intoxicated -- Dispatch received a call on Dec. 31 about a possible intoxicated driver in the 5800 block of North U.S. Highway 75. Officers stopped the vehicle and the driver was found to be intoxicated. The driver was arrested and transported to GCSO jail and booked in for driving while intoxicated.

Burglary -- Sherman Police Department received a 911 call on Dec. 31 in reference to a possible burglary of a vehicle in the 2700 block of North U.S. Hwy. 75. When police arrived, it was found the right rear window of the truck was broken out and a pair of coveralls were taken out of the back seat. An offense report was generated for burglary of vehicle.

Burglary -- Sherman dispatch received a call on Dec. 31 in reference to a burglary of a habitation in the 1300 block of Walnut. The caller stated that when he arrived home, someone had forced entry into the home and stolen electronics. A report for burglary of habitation has been generated and the investigation is ongoing.

Assault -- An officer was dispatched on Jan. 1 to the 100 block of West Lake Street in reference to an assault. He contacted one party who claimed they were assaulted by a man who had run into a neighboring house. He contacted the other party who claimed no assault occurred, and gave no further information. A report was generated for assault causing bodily injury.

Assault -- Dispatch received a call on Jan. 1 about an assault in the 300 block South Heritage Parkway. All parties had been drinking and got into an argument. During the argument the suspect pushed the victim down and was striking him in the face. The suspect left the residence. A report for assault causing bodily injury was completed.
