Kemper Announces 2Q Catastrophe Loss Estimate
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Kemper Corporation (NYSE:KMPR) announced today that it estimates that its second quarter 2017 results will include pre-tax catastrophe losses in the range of $32 million to $38 million. The company does not expect to recover any of these losses under its catastrophe reinsurance program. The losses were related to more than 15 storms throughout the country and adversely impacted losses for both homeowners and auto lines.
