Horizon BCBSNJ touts lower premium plan choice for 2020 open enrollment

For 2020, Horizon BCBSNJ said it added the new, lower-priced OMNIA Silver Value plan to its menu of individual offerings, featuring a premium that is 15 percent less than the OMNIA Silver product.
According to Horizon, it offers five OMNIA Health Plans (Bronze HSA, Silver Value, Silver, Silver HSA and Gold) and three broad network Advantage plans for the 2020 enrollment year. Since the introduction of the Affordable Care Act plans in 2014, more New Jerseyans have chosen a plan from Horizon BCBSNJ than from any other health insurer.
“Cost is a significant issue and no one is doing more to deliver value and quality to individual consumers than Horizon,” said
Considine said that approximately 80 percent of consumers are eligible to receive financial assistance that lowers, and in many cases, eliminates their premium cost almost completely.
