Hiscox appoints new Group Chief Auditor

London, UK (4 March 2025): Leading global specialist insurer Hiscox has announced the appointment of Daniel Williams as the Group's new Chief Auditor.

Daniel joins from IG Group, where he was Global Head of Internal Audit for over nine years. Having started his career at Deloitte in asset management and insurance external audit, Daniel has spent much of his 27-year career in industry, holding a range of senior roles at companies including GFI Group, MF Global and Man Group.

At Hiscox, Daniel will lead a global audit team and be responsible for delivering the internal audit strategy, representing the function both internally and externally, ensuring compliance with internal audit standards and regulations, and fulfilling all audit-related regulatory responsibilities.

Based in London, Daniel will work closely with the Board, particularly Audit Committee Chair, Donna DeMaio, and the Group Executive Committee, particularly Paul Cooper, Group Chief Financial Officer, as part of the finance leadership team.

Commenting on his appointment, Paul said: "Daniel will be a great addition to the team, thanks to his significant experience in complex, global, FTSE-listed businesses. I look forward to us benefitting from his contributions, not only within audit but as part of our finance leadership team, as we pursue our ambitious growth agenda."
