Health Partners Plans expands provider network to include Tower Health [Reading Eagle, Pa.]

Oct. 8—Health Partners Plans and Tower Health have signed a provider agreement granting all of the health system's facilities and physician's in-network privileges for HPP's Pennsylvania members.

The nonprofit-managed health care organization announced Thursday it had signed the contract.

The agreement, effective Oct. 1, allows HPP's members enrolled in Health Partners Medicare, Health Partners Medicaid and KidzPartners (Children's Health Insurance Program) to visit any of Tower Health's network of acute care hospitals, outpatient facilities, urgent care centers and physician practices.

"Tower Health has a rich history of providing high-quality, cost-effective care to our local communities," said P. Sue Perrotty, president and CEO of Tower Health, said in the press release. "We are committed to advancing health and transforming lives, and through this new partnership, we are delighted to offer our leading-edge, compassionate health and wellness services to HPP members."

A similar agreement with Jefferson Health in the Philadelphia region was also announced Thursday. That agreement went into effect Sept. 1 and grants all Jefferson Health facilities and physicians based in Pennsylvania and New Jersey in-network privileges for Health Partners Medicare members.

"We are excited to announce this expansion of our network and the added benefits it offers to our members, who will now have access to the high-quality care provided by both Jefferson Health and Tower Health," said Denise Napier, president and CEO of HPP, in the press release. "HPP is proud of these partnerships, as they underscore our commitment to continually improve the health outcomes of our members."
