March 19-- Mar. 19--A commercial insurer based out of Huntsville has named a local resident as its new president.
CP Insurance Associates recently named Denise Franklin the president of the company after starting as a part-time data entry specialist with the company over 35 years ago.
Franklin was the manager of IT, accounting, escrow and insurance departments for the company for 16 years until she was promoted to executive vice president of operations. She has since advanced her career within the company to president.
"Denise knows every aspect of this business, which she has acquired in her 30-plus years of experience," company CEO and Chairman Andy Harvey said. "She is definitely the right person for the job."
CP Insurance will also begin construction on its new headquarters in the coming months, with plans to build a new facility on Veterans Memorial Parkway in Huntsville.
CP Insurance Associates was founded in 1977 with the purpose of providing credit-related insurance products to lending institutions. As a managing general agency, the company has contracts with some of the top insurance companies in the nation, with their primary focus on providing insurances for banks and car dealers.
