TOWN OF POLK — The Federal Emergency Management Agency announced that it will be hosting a flood map open house event on Thursday, May 2 at Washington County Fair Park, 3000 County Hwy PV in the Town of Polk.
According to the announcement, this event will give citizens an opportunity to locate their homes on published preliminary Flood Insurance Rate Maps and obtain information on flood insurance offered through National Flood Insurance Program.
Representatives from FEMA and the Department of Natural Resources will also be in attendance to answer any questions participants have as well as provide methods that citizens can use to protect themselves and their loved ones in the event of a flood.
