WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 -- EMILY's List issued the following statement:

Today the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office released their analysis of the original Graham-Cassidy-Heller bill to repeal the Affordable Care Act. The CBO found that "[the] number of people with comprehensive health insurance that covers high-cost medical events would be reduced by millions." In response, Stephanie Schriock, president of EMILY's List, released the following statement:
"For months, we have watched Republicans try to repeal the Affordable Care Act and replace it with some version of Trumpcare -- any mutation of which the Congressional Budget Office has found would would be devastating to millions of Americans. Today's analysis shows more of the same. The Republican Party doesn't care about saving American lives -- they care about passing any piece of legislation that would score them cheap political points with Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell."
"That Republican leaders aren't waiting for a complete CBO score on the most updated version of their bill -- shoddily drafted and aEurosreleased aEuroslate last night, filled with bribes for senators who have indicated they want to do the right thing and vote against this bill, presumably set for a vote sometime this week -- proves this point."
