DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) _ EMC Insurance Group Inc. (EMCI) on Tuesday reported second-quarter profit of $5.5 million.
On a per-share basis, the Des Moines, Iowa-based company said it had net income of 26 cents. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, were 16 cents per share.
The insurance holding company posted revenue of $160.8 million in the period.
EMC Insurance Group expects full-year earnings in the range of $1.35 to $1.55 per share.
EMC Insurance Group shares have dropped almost 8 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined nearly 2 percent in the last 12 months.
