Customer Service, Employee Engagement and Agency Growth Focus of 2018 PRMA Summit

PR Newswire

NEW YORK, Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- A new approach to understanding customers and the secret to engaging employees and building a productive team are two of the key topics at the 2018 Private Risk Management Association (PRMA) Summit. The event brings together insurance industry specialists to collaborate about issues impacting the specialty insurance market, such as cyber threats, navigating the challenges of major construction and the rise in fraudulent art and collectibles. The Summit takes place November 6-8, 2018, at the Hilton Chicago Oak Brook Hills Resort and Conference Center in Oakbrook, Illinois.

"This year, we take a deep dive into the customer experience, examining how brokers and agencies can better serve their clients and why it's so critical to their future," said Lisa Lindsay, executive director with PRMA. "We'll address topics ranging from understanding the consumer to improving employee performance to utilizing analytics to grow their business. We are excited about this year's agenda, and we know attendees will be, too," added Lindsay, a 30-year industry veteran.

Highlights include nationally-recognized speakers, such as Whitney Johnson. Named one of the world's 50 most influential management thinkers by Thinkers50 in 2017, she will discuss building an A-team and becoming a boss people love. Alex Genov, head of customer research for Zappos, will speak about how companies can better understand their users, customers, consumers, fans and followers.

Conversations will focus on leveraging the surplus lines market; navigating the course of major construction and renovation; using analytics to help your agency grow; understanding and meeting the needs of family offices; redefining the customer experience; and, cyber hygiene – understanding the risks and minimizing losses.

High-level sponsors include Chubb, PURE, American International Group (AIG), Restoration Affiliates, Safelight Solutions, Hagerty, AmWINS, Castle High Value Surveys, Burns & Wilcox, The Cincinnati Insurance Companies, Go Rentals, Ironshore Inc., Leak Defense System, and NatGen Premier.
