CSC Deepens Guardian Life Relationship as Technology Supplier of the Year Honoree

Completes Billing and Payment Solution and Begins Workplace Modernization Implementation

TYSONS, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- CSC (NYSE:CSC), a global leader in next-generation IT services and solutions, today announced that the company has been named Technology Supplier of the Year by longtime client, The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America® (Guardian), during its first Technology Supplier Summit.

Peter Atwater, vice president of QA and Production Support at Guardian, announced CSC as the recipient of the Technology Supplier of the Year award and highlighted CSC’s consistent high satisfaction scores, as compared to 40 other vendors, across most measured metrics. He also commended CSC for being the top contributor in Guardian's first Partner Innovation Challenge. Atwater noted that CSC’s enthusiasm and commitment to Guardian’s business also contributed to its selection as Supplier of the Year.

CSC has been working with Guardian for 20 years and has provided a variety of technology solutions, such as software and maintenance, hosting and support for both business and technical implementation work. CSC deployed its Premium Billing 360° (PB360°) Software as a Service (SaaS) to enable multiple billing and payment options for Guardian’s worksite customers.

CSC has also been heavily engaged in the execution of a multi-year, multimillion-dollar IT and business roadmap for one of Guardian’s Group business units. More recently, CSC helped centralize application maintenance across multiple business units, allowing Guardian to redeploy its IT budget to strategic projects.

During Guardian's first Partner Innovation Challenge held in 2015, CSC was one of the top participants by submitting numerous ideas to augment the New York-based insurer’s IT strategy and major growth initiatives. As a result, CSC is now implementing a pilot program featuring CSC MyWorkStyle workplace solutions.
