Dataveus White, 24, of the 700 block of Greenleaf St., Elizabeth City, was arrested Aug. 27 and charged with fleeing to elude arrest, reckless driving with wanton disregard, operating a motor vehicle with no liability insurance, speeding, failing to yield to a stop sign/flashing red light, failure to maintain lane control, operating a motorcycle without a headlight or rear lamps and riding a motorcycle without a helmet. He was confined at Albemarle District Jail in lieu of a $10,000 secured bond.
Synthia Barnett, 41, of the 200 block of Lynette Drive, Elizabeth City, was arrested Aug. 12 and charged with obstruction of justice and aiding and abetting someone who failed to register as a sex offender. He was confined at Albemarle District Jail in lieu of a $50,000 secured bond.
Kandy Anshell Fentress, 45, of the 1100 block of Elliott St., Norfolk, Virginia, was arrested Aug. 12 and charged with communicating threats, injury to personal property and violation of a domestic protective order. A $10,000 unsecured bond was set.
Tyrone Christopher Wilson, 28, of the 500 block of Hughes Blvd., Elizabeth City, was arrested Aug. 30 and charged with civil contempt of court for failing to pay child support in Rockingham County. He also was arrested on a child support order from Chowan County. He was confined at Albemarle District Jail in lieu of a $6,114.65 cash bond.
Charles Mitchell McClung, 68, of the 300 block of Japonica Road, Camden, was arrested Aug. 29 and charged with commercial littering and leaving vehicles unattended. A $2,500 unsecured bond was set.
Kashaun Ray Elliott, 24, of the 800 block of Cale St., Elizabeth City, was arrested Aug. 26 and charged with felony possession of marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of between half an ounce and 1½ ounces of marijuana, possession of up to half an ounce of marijuana, two counts of carrying a concealed weapon, and three counts of misdemeanor probation violation. A $16,500 secured bond was set.
Michael Lee Volberding, 33, of the 700 block of Cherry Glade Road, Elizabeth City, was arrested Aug. 26 and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, fleeing in a motor vehicle to elude arrest, careless and reckless driving and driving while license revoked. He was confined at Albemarle District Jail without bond.
Kiara Shermone Toxey, 33, of the 1000 block of W. Main St., Elizabeth City, was arrested Aug. 31 and charged with failure to appear in court as required for driving while license revoked. She was released after posting a $250 cash bond.
Melvonte Raynel White, 31, of the 100 block of W. Third St., Edenton, was arrested Aug. 23 and charged with driving with a fictitious title/registration card and driving while license revoked. He was confined at Albemarle District Jail in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond.
Datrill Marantz McPherson, 48, of the 1300 block of Brothers Lane, Elizabeth City, was arrested Aug. 23 and charged with failing to notify the sheriff of an address change while being a sexual offender and failure to return a verification notice as required. He was confined at Albemarle District Jail in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond.
Jessi Jean Pelszynski, 42, of the 700 block of Glade Road, Elizabeth City, was arrested Aug. 27 and charged with misdemeanor child abuse. She was confined at Albemarle District Jail in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond.
Carlos Escobar Mendez, 32, of the 100 block of Lisas Way, Elizabeth City, was arrested Aug. 29 and charged with driving while impaired. He was release after posting a $2,500 secured bond.
Cody Paul Baker, 21, of the 600 block of Cedar St., Elizabeth City, was arrested Aug. 28 and charged with felony possession of cocaine and a tinted window violation. He was confined at Albemarle District Jail without bond.
Tremayne Levon R. Stone, 35, of the 100 block of Franklin St., Elizabeth City, was arrested Sept. 3 and charged with two counts resisting arrest, delaying and obstructing an officer, and failure to appear in court as required on charges of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for the purpose of possessing a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, breaking and entering and injury to real property. He was confined at Albemarle District Jail in lieu of a $55,250 secured bond.
Spencer Allen Fitzgerald, 33, of the 1500 block of Brumsey Drive, Elizabeth City, was arrested Sept. 2 and charged with being a fugitive from another law enforcement jurisdiction. He was confined at Albemarle District Jail in lieu of a $250,000 secured bond.
