Crain’s Detroit Business: Latest Obamacare Repeal Proposal Would Drain Dollars From Michigan
Targeted News Service (Press Releases)
LANSING, Mich., Sept. 20 -- The Michigan Health and Hospital Association issued the following news release:
MHA CEO Brian Peters was among healthcare leaders quoted in a Sept. 20 Crain's Detroit Business article about the proposed Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson legislation that would repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act.
The proposed legislation would jeopardize healthcare coverage for nearly 1 million Michiganders, and is opposed by the MHA and other groups, including American Medical Association, the American Hospital Association, AARP and more.
"The proposed cuts to Medicaid in the Graham-Cassidy-Heller-Johnson legislation will impact people in every county and most certainly spell the end of health care coverage for nearly 1 million Michiganders, including those who rely on the innovative Healthy Michigan Plan," said Peters.
Talking points and other resources are available on the MHA's ACA Repeal and Replace webpage. The MHA applauds Michigan Sens. Debbie Stabenow and Gary Peters for their continued work to protect coverage and access for people in Michigan and is urging members and MiCare Champions to contact their U.S. House member about the proposal.
