CIRMA Selects Guidewire InsurancePlatform for Claims Management, Data and Analytics, and Digital Engagement

Business Wire

Leading Connecticut-based member-owned municipal insurer to leverage Guidewire Core, Data, and Digital products to increase business efficiency and enrich user experience

NEW HAVEN, Conn. & FOSTER CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Connecticut Interlocal Risk Management Agency (CIRMA), a leading member-owned municipal insurance provider in Connecticut, and Guidewire Software, Inc. (NYSE: GWRE), provider of the industry platform Property and Casualty (P&C) insurers rely upon, today announced that CIRMA has selected Guidewire InsurancePlatform™ to replace its existing systems and modernize the way it does business. Guidewire PartnerConnect™ Select Consulting Partner, Blackcomb Consultants, will be leading the implementation project.

CIRMA selected Guidewire ClaimCenter™ as its new claims management system along with Guidewire DataHub™ and Guidewire InfoCenter™ for enterprise-wide data management and business intelligence. The company also selected Guidewire CustomerEngage™ and Guidewire VendorEngage™ to provide omnichannel digital service to its customers and vendors. In addition, CIRMA selected Guidewire Predictive Analytics™ for Claims that will embed predictive insights into ClaimCenter to create a Smart Core™ system. The company will deploy the products to its workers’ compensation and liability auto property lines of business.

“Guidewire’s product maturity, market share, and track record of successful implementations were important factors in our decision-making process,” said David Demchak, president and chief executive officer, CIRMA. “We are confident that this strategic relationship, with a vendor offering intuitive, forward-thinking products to support our business model, will provide CIRMA with the ability to support our present and future needs, strategic initiatives, and offer a better digital customer service experience to our members. Lastly, we will be able to integrate with best-in-class partners that are a part of the industry-leading Guidewire PartnerConnect™ partner ecosystem.”

Pamela Keyes, vice president, Risk Management and Business Analytics, CIRMA, said, “By selecting Guidewire, we will be able to take advantage of the new, technologically-advanced and highly-configurable features and functionalities offered by ClaimCenter. It will enable us to design workflows and integrate all of our systems together, thereby streamlining our claims reporting process to improve efficiency for all lines of business, as well as enhancing and expediting decision-making.”

“We are gratified that CIRMA has entrusted us with implementing their InsurancePlatform products,” said Saroj Mohanty, Managing Partner and Principal Consultant, Blackcomb Consultants. “By selecting Guidewire and Blackcomb, CIRMA will be better able to meet the insurance needs of its municipal members in a rapidly-changing insurance market.”

“We welcome CIRMA to the Guidewire customer family and applaud its recognition of the advantages of running its business with InsurancePlatform,” said Steve Sherry, chief sales officer, Guidewire Software. “We admire CIRMA’s commitment to providing risk financing and management services to Connecticut’s municipalities, public schools, and local public agencies, and look forward to helping the company meet and exceed its business objectives.”
