MITIGATION SECTION(MIT60)

Community Engagement and Risk Communications (CERC) services support all Risk Management Directorate (RMD) programs of Federal Insurance and Mitigation Administration (FIMA) and three other FIMA Programs (Floodplain Management,Federal Insurance, and Hazard Mitigation Assistance) to synchronize communications and engagement and increase public awareness and promote actions that reduce natural hazard risk to life and property. CERC services consist of improving community engagement surrounding natural hazard risk awareness by leveraging behavioral science to improve natural hazard risk communications and increasing flood risk understanding and ways to reduce the risk.This requirement does not include the purchase of IT products or software. Also, Contractor IT systems will not be used to input, store, process, output, and/or transmit sensitive information. CERC is one of the five groupings of services provided under the Risk Mapping, Assessment, and Planning (Risk MAP) Program. Risk MAP is a Level I program which is currently in the sustainment lifecycle acquisition phase (ADE3).
