Butler County health non-profit hiring for dozens of jobs, adding locations
Founded in 1999 as
It employs 220 people, according to
The non-profit is looking to fill more than 30 positions with more coming soon, Croucher said. Positions range from entry level, such as receptionist, WIC clerk and patient services representative, up to and including doctors, nurse practitioners, dentists, optometrists and more.
Positions are full-time with benefits and competitive wages.
"PHS has been in an extreme growth mode for the past few years," Croucher said. "We are expanding facilities and services, plus adding two new locations."
Job interviews are being held
We asked Croucher about the challenges PHS faces when it comes to filling open positions. Here's what she had to say:
Q: What's the biggest challenge PHS has when it comes to growth in its industry?
A: "There is a tremendous need for the services that we provide. We have to balance our capacity for appointments, physical space to provide care vs. serving the need. We need more mission oriented staff to help us expand our practices."
Q: What's the most prevalent roadblock you've encountered when it comes to hiring and what can job seekers do to remedy that situation?
A: "I think that the low unemployment rate is affecting every employer. Many of the high performers are already working. We're looking for people to align with our mission, as there is no more satisfying way to work, than when your personal mission and business mission align. Working here at PHS is quite rewarding as we specialize in providing access to services (medical, dental, vision and behavioral health) to those who have had issues with access due to lack of insurance or the type of insurance they have. PHS accepts most insurance, including Medicaid, the Medicaid managed care products, and has a nominal fee based on household income for those who are self-pay."
Q: Some job seekers are concerned about the limits of advancement. To what degree can PHS employees advance from entry-level roles to become team leaders and department managers?
A: "It's an exciting time to join our organization. We have many opportunities for advancing your career as our organization grows. We have seen office team members become case managers, site managers become directors, etc. If you are looking for a place to serve and have opportunity for advancement, Primary Health Solutions is the place to be."
Q: What's the vision for PHS growth, both jobs and otherwise, for the next five years?
A: "We are committed to meeting community need, and will continue to grow by adding more staff, more facilities and new programs. We are committed to improving community health and are involved in the communities we serve to help find solutions to complex health issues such as infant mortality and dealing with the impact of the opioid crisis. We have developed programs like our CenteringPregnancy and CenteringParenting groups, expanded our
