BRIEF: Fire reported at Highway Marine in Richland Township

Feb. 19--Fire departments are at a fire at Highway Marine on Route 309 in Richland Township, according to scanner reports.

The northbound and southbound lanes of Route 309 at Cherry Road are closed for the blaze, reported shortly before 11 a.m. this morning.

Highway Marine, 875 N. West End Blvd, is a boat dealer that has been in the Quakertown area more than 30 years, according to its website.

The family-owned business has a 16-acre facility that includes a 30,000-square-foot building with an 18-bay boat and pontoon service department, the website says. Another 15,000 square feet of this building is designated as a heated and air-conditioned showroom, the website says. The company has hundreds of boats in stock.
