The Iberia Parish School Board will receive a report regarding health care insurance renewal at Wednesday's meeting.
James Perez with DJW Insurance will update the board on the commercial group health plan renewal for 2024 at the meeting.
The board will then consider the renewal of the commercial group health care plan for 2024 with an increase in the specific stop-loss deductible and take appropriate action. Superintendent of Schools Heath Hulin and Perez will be introducing the agenda item.
In other business, the board will consider a recommendation to advertise for a communications upgrade project.
The scope of the project will consist of replacing all phones and intercom systems, as well as replacing clocks, reusing compatible equipment such as speakers and call buttons, replacing wiring as necessary, replacing broken devices as necessary and compliance with new laws and regulations.
The estimated cost of the project is $6,032,000 and will be funded through ESSER funds.
The meeting takes place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the board's administrative office on Jane Street.
