A Lamar County man was arrested Wednesday on insurance fraud charges related to a Dekalb County case.
William Dowell Crumbley, 46, of Barnesville, is currently being held in the Lamar County Jail.
Crumbley's arrest comes after Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner John F. King announced a warrant had been issued for Crumbley's arrest.
According to King, Crumbley reportedly filed a fraudulent stolen vehicle claim with his insurance company on March 7, telling the company he last saw the vehicle Feb. 26.
However, agents in King's Criminal Investigations Division reportedly discovered the vehicle destroyed in a Conyers scrap yard on Feb. 19.
