Arkansas Delegation Announces FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers

Disaster recovery centers are now open in Mayflower (Faulkner County), North Little Rock (Pulaski County) and Fort Smith (Sebastian County), to offer in-person support to individuals and businesses in counties included in the Arkansas federal disaster declaration for flooding on the Arkansas River in late May.Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Disaster Recovery Centers will open in Arkansas. The following locations will be able to help Arkansans impacted by flooding:

FAULKNER COUNTY

Tornado Shelter

Monday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Sunday 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

PULASKI COUNTY

FEDERAL AID PROGRAMS FOR THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:

FEMA disaster assistance is available to the state of Arkansas to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms and flooding beginning on May 21, 2019 and continuing. FEMA is authorized to provide assistance for emergency protective measures (Category B), limited to direct federal assistance under the Public Assistance program, at 75 percent federal funding in the following counties: Arkansas, Chicot, Conway, Crawford, Desha, Faulkner, Franklin, Jefferson, Johnson, Lincoln, Logan, Perry, Pope, Pulaski, Sebastian, and Yell counties.

Anyone wishing to volunteer should bring a shovel if they have one and work gloves.

There are also two self-filling stations set up for residents to walk up and fill whatever amount of sand bags they need at:
