PHOENIX, Arizona, Feb. 20 -- The Arizona Democratic Party issued the following news release:

- McSally has received tens of thousands of dollars in campaign support from pharmaceutical corporations, while failing to hold them accountable for jacking up prices on Arizonans

At tonight's Trump rally, Martha McSally highlighted "big pharma cheating and boxing out competition and jacking up the price on our seniors." But the truth is that McSally is part of the problem in Washington when it comes to spiking prescription drug costs: McSally has received tens of thousands of dollars in campaign support from pharmaceutical corporations, while failing to hold them accountable for jacking up prices on Arizonans.
McSally -- who has taken at least $106,200 in corporate PAC contributions from pharmaceutical corporations -- has sided with Mitch McConnell, as he blocks a U.S. House-passed bipartisan plan to let Medicare negotiate for lower prescription drug prices.
The Medicare drug price negotiation bill is estimated to help bring down pricing for certain treatments by thousands of dollars per month.
But a pharma-linked group that's already spent $1 million to keep McSally's vote in the Senate opposes the bill, so rather than come out to support Medicare drug price negotiation, McSally is siding with her "cheating" big pharma backers who are "jacking up the price on our seniors."
