Ariz. Democratic Party: McSally GOP Allies Renew Push to Gut Health Care Coverage Protections

PHOENIX, Arizona, Aug. 9 -- The Arizona Democratic Party issued the following news release:
Health care is on the ballot in 2020, because U.S.Senate Republicans like Martha McSally are again pledging to strike down the national health care law and dismantle the law's coverage protections for 2.8 million Arizonans with a pre-existing condition.
Earlier this week, McSally's Senate colleague Lindsey Graham (R-SC) confirmed in an interview that Republicans remain determined to force through a repeal of the Affordable Care Act, thereby ending the law's coverage protections for individuals with a pre-existing condition:
"If we can get the House back and keep our majority in the Senate, and President Trump wins reelection [...] we [are] going to repeal ObamaCare."
For her part, Martha McSally has for years voted to repeal the law, to increase health care premiums and gut pre-existing condition coverage protections.
More recently, McSally has also refused to take a stand against the national GOP lawsuit to end pre-existing condition coverage protections.
Instead, McSally has said that it isn't her "role" to stand up and protect Arizonans' health care.
