Ameritas Opens Kansas City Public Finance Office

Health & Medicine Week

By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Health & Medicine Week -- Ameritas Investment Corp. (AIC), an affiliate of Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. (Ameritas), announced it has opened a new office as part of a regional expansion of its nationally ranked public finance and capital markets operation (see also Insurance Companies).

The office is led by long-time Kansas City investment bankers Jack Holland and Brad Max. Combined, Holland and Max have over 50 years of public finance experience throughout the Midwest and the Kansas City region.

Joining Holland and Max are Michael Short, vice president - director of public finance; Mathew Webster, vice president - director of public finance; John McArthur, vice president - director of public finance, and Karolyn Cline, assistant vice president - public finance. Both Holland and Max will serve as vice president - managing director of public finance. In addition, Ike Parsons, Linda Schieber and Joanne Huey also joined the new Ameritas office.

"Recognizing the capital strength of Ameritas, their national reputation in the public finance industry and the continued dynamic growth potential of the Kansas City region, our partnership with Ameritas is a natural fit," said Holland. "Our team's extensive expertise and experience in this market, backed by Ameritas, will help our clients access the capital markets to fund public and development projects and enhance the quality of life in our communities."

Additionally, the office will provide project finance services and other non-governmental financing for development projects.

Ameritas has a long history in the Kansas City market with its insurance and financial services available through local independent financial professionals. The company's group division, which offers group dental, vision and hearing care insurance and has one of the largest dental provider networks in the nation, has a regional office in Overland Park, Kansas.
