GALVESTON, Texas (AP) _ American National Insurance Co. (ANAT) on Monday reported third-quarter net income of $73.3 million.
On a per-share basis, the Galveston, Texas-based company said it had profit of $2.72. Earnings, adjusted for investment gains, came to $1.57 per share.
The insurance company posted revenue of $872.8 million in the period.
American National Insurance shares have declined 4 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $119.56, a climb of almost 2 percent in the last 12 months.
