WASHINGTON, June 12 -- The American Action Network issued the following news:

American Action Network President Dan Conston released the following statement slamming the House Ways and Means Committee for holding a hearing on the left's plan to force all Americans into a government-run health care system.

"The left's obsession with bringing socialized medicine to the United States is dangerous and cruel," said CLF President Dan Conston. "Under this plan, Americans will see their private health insurance cancelled and their tax bill doubled, just to wait in line for substandard health care administered by government bureaucrats.

By holding today's hearing, the left has shown that putting government in charge of your life is their number one priority, even if it means ripping the health care Americans know, like and rely on right out of their hands."
