LANCASTER, S.C. — Twenty-five years ago, two ambitious women took a leap of faith and embarked on a new chapter by founding the Alpine Agency in Lancaster.

On Sept. 15, 1999 — the same day Hurricane Floyd struck the Carolinas — Jane Rinard and Charlotte Smith began their journey as independent insurance agents.

Sitting at Rinard's dining room table, they anticipated an exciting new journey in the health insurance industry, a future where they could positively impact their community by offering dependable and accessible health insurance solutions.

Fast forward to today, and the Alpine Agency Health Insurance has grown into a thriving, trusted local business.
